Youth of the Year
The Youth of the Year title is a prestigious honor bestowed upon an exemplary young person in recognition of leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to live a healthy lifestyle. The Youth of the Year program honors our nation’s most awe-inspiring young people on their path to great futures and encourages all kids to lead, succeed and inspire.

Many Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton members have gone on to win the Youth of the Year title not only at the Club level, but have gone on to win the title for all of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry as well as the state of South Carolina title. These recipients have been rewarded with college scholarships, interships and countless other opportunities.

Where is Keiona Now?
Keiona is enrolled at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC on a full-ride scholarship. She plans to be a social worker after graduation.
Keiona still returns to work at her Bluffton Boys & Girls Club during summer and other breaks from college.

AJ graduated from the Art Institute of Charleston in 2018 with a degree in Culinary Arts.
