Colleton River Charitable Fund

The Colleton River Charitable Fund has been rooted in a tradition of caring and giving for 25 years. Our vision is to end the generational cycle of poverty in the Greater Bluffton community. To achieve this, our mission is to give our neighbors in need the tools and support to build a better future for themselves and their families. The fund currently provides grants in support of over 25 local nonprofit organizations in the areas of hunger, housing, health and education. It reflects the generosity of spirit within our Colleton River community.

In 2024 the Colleton River Charitable Fund provided the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton a grant award to support Program Relief.

Port Royal Community Charitable Fund

The Port Royal Community Charitable Fund purpose is to provide grants to benefit our neighbors in Beaufort, Hampton, Jasper, and Colleton counties; to respond to people in need; and to provide resources to help improve the lives of people in the Lowcountry.

In 2023 the Port Royal Community Charitable Fund provided the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton a grant award to support Program Fee Relief for low-income members.

Since June 2023, thanks to the Port Royal Community Charitable Fund, 26 members have benefited from Program Fee Relief.

We wanted to share with you a story of a real family that has benefited from the grant award from the Port Royal Community Charitable Fund.

This is a testimonial from a Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton parent and 2023 Port Royal Community Charitable Fund Program Fee Relief recipient, whose two foster children, Sean and Brandon, attend the Club every day:

The Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton has been transformative in my two foster boys’ lives. The difference in their ability to socialize positively with their peers in such a short time has been a miracle. Both boys had trouble interacting with their peers prior to attending the Club.

Having the opportunity to interact in such positive ways, and participating in daily programs with such a diverse population of members has really proven to be what they needed. The boys love the Club and look forward to attending every day.

Thank you Port Royal Community Charitable Fund for your support for these families and the incredible impact you’ve had on their lives!

Wexford Foundation

The Wexford Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing financial and volunteer resources to local non-profit organizations that provide social services for humanitarian needs. Launched in 2012, the Foundation has awarded over $2.8 million to local charities serving  Hilton Head Island , SC and the surrounding area.

In 2024 the Wexford Foundation provided the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton a grant award to replace our deteriorating wooden picnic tables in our outdoor area with eight new, higher quality metal picnic tables, creating a comfortable space where members can build friendships and increase their socialization.

We are so grateful for the incredible impact the Wexford Foundation has made on our Club and the youth in our community. Over the last three years, support from the Wexford Foundation to the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton has also been used to:

Build a new playground, giving our young members extended outdoor time and improving their mental and physical health.

Enhance our Literacy Program with the addition of a Bookworm Vending Machine (with accessories), the golden tokens used to dispense the books, as well as Scholastic Book vending bundles, increasing our members’ academic success.

Thank you to the Wexford Foundation for the incredible impact you’ve made on our Club and the youth in our community.
